Sharing internet pada jaringan komputer bukanlah hal yang sulit saat ini, bahkan pada jaringan yang memiliki beberapa perbedaan pada sistem operasi di tiap – tiap komputernya sekalipun.

Pada artikel kali ini akan di bahas mengenai sharing koneksi internet dengan menggunakan PCLinuxOS sebagai Gateway dan Ms. Windows atau Linux lainnya sebagai client.

Alasan saya menggunakan Linux sebagai gateway adalah kemampuan filter serangan dari luar yang lebih bagus di bandingkan dengan menggunakan Windows sebagai Gateway.

Pada saat saya menulis artikel ini saya mengunakan PCLinuxOS TinyMe 2008 pada Notebook Fujitsu Pentium III yang saya fungsikan sebagai Mobile Computing dan Gateway pada Lab saya. Pada dasarnya penggunaan dan konfogurasi PCLinuxOS lainnya sama saja dengan PCLinuxOS yang saya gunakan.

Drizzle is a Free Software/Open Source database management system (DBMS)
that was forked from version 6.0 of the MySQL DBMS.
Like MySQL, Drizzle has a client/server architecture and uses SQL as its primary command language.
Drizzle is distributed under version 2 of the GNU General Public License.

Drizzle is written in the C++ programming language, and stores its string data in an UTF-8 format.

There are two ways of installing VirtualBox: from precompiled binaries that are available for some distributions and come under the PUEL license, and from the sources that are released under the GPL. This article will show how to set up VirtualBox 3.0 from the precompiled binaries.

As of version 2.0 VirtualBox supports 32 and 64bit host and guest operating systems (if you want to install 64bit guests your processor must support hardware virtualization and, of course, the host operating system must be 64bit as well).
